ILONA is an experienced Tango dancer, performer, and instructor living in Toronto Canada and teaching Tango at the University of Toronto, around Canada and U.S.. ILONA started dancing at the age of 5 and has studied Ballet, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Jazz, Modern Dance, Ballroom, and Salsa. 
    ILONA fell in love with Tango in 2001 and has danced and trained extensively ever since. She has studied with more than 50 teachers in Argentina and around the world, including the masters like Carlos Gavito, Gustavo Naveira, Fabian Salas, Chicho Frumboli, El Pulpo, Mauricio Castro, Alex Krebs, Eric Jorgensen and Esteban Moreno. She enjoys the emotion of Milonguero style and the creativity of Nuevo Tango. 
    An experienced educator, ILONA combines many different teaching techniques to address diverse learning styles.  She focuses on improving the students' dance technique foundation, together with leading and following skills, and encourages individual creativity and self expression.  ILONA believes that Tango dancing should feel great for both partners.
    ILONA has combined her passion for travel with Tango Tourism and has danced in 11 different countries and 29 cities!
